The Future of AITP and Business Networking Mixer
September 17, 2009 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at PF Changs outdoor lanai on Ala Moana Blvd (FREE validated parking )
In lieu of our regular monthly AITP luncheon on the 2nd Thursday of each month, please join us onThursday, September 17th from 5-7pm on the P.F.Chang’s lanai for a brief glimpse into the future of what AITP will look like as it revamps its focus from the IT profession to the IT business professional. What is an IT business professional? It’s a person that has both technical competence and business acumen, focused on the application of technology in the business environment.AITP is starting a national wide initiative to define the skills, knowledge, and training necessary to enable our members to meet the increasing demand for delivering business value from IT. A national-level CIO advisory council has already been formed and plans are underway to define a body of knowledge and professional certification framework. Join us to learn how this initiative can help bolster your positioning toward becoming a CIO—or strengthen your seat at the executive table.
Donny Shimamoto of IntrapriseTechKnowlogies has been involved with several national AITP meetings and will give us some insight into the future of AITP. In addition, we will have a business networking mixer so you can meet your peer IT professionals!
