January 2010 AITP Luncheon Meeting Event
January 13, 2010 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at Oahu Country Club (Free Parking)
Wednesday, January 13th 11:30am-1pm (note new day and location for this meeting only)Therewas a lot of hype about virtualization in 2009, but it was hard to tellhow much of it was technical hype and how much of it was true businessvalue. Join the AITP Honolulu Chapter and Hawaii Society of CPAs(HSCPA) for this joint lunch meeting focused on the business case forvirtualization.
Michael Kebo of Aloha Technical Solutions will provide insights and lessons learned into the business reasons for virtualization and benefits that business managers have been actually realizing though the virtualization. Then, Donny Shimamoto, CPA.CITP of IntrapriseTechKnowlogies LLC,will walk through two cases from actual companies that built business cases for virtualization through multi-year analysis of the impact totheir IT budgets and cash flow.
Whether you’re from the CFO/Controller’s side, or the CIO/IT Manager’s side, join us to talk through the direct (and hidden) costs of virtualizationfrom a budgeting and financing perspective—and learn how to analyzeyour virtualization projects by building a business case that addressesthe needs of both finance and IT.
